The NHL is paying its TV crews more than it is paying players and executives, but there are ways to save money in the long run, the league says.
The NHL said Tuesday that it has signed a new agreement with TV-production company Cineloop to make its TV production teams a bigger part of its advertising and sponsorship budgets.
The league says the new pact with Cinelop will provide a more stable foundation for future TV production.
It is a sign of confidence in its ability to deliver the right product at the right price to its fans and advertisers.
