Manchester City will face competition from Arsenal and Everton for the top two places in the Premier League this season, according to the BBC.
The Gunners and Arsenal are the only two clubs that will not be relegated this season.
But it is understood that Manchester City could have a tough time of it in the first season under Pep Guardiola, with the Gunners being able to boast two of the most successful managers in the history of the competition.
And City’s title chances could be in serious doubt when the season starts, with Arsenal and Chelsea both likely to be in contention for the Premier Cup title, as well as Manchester United.
The BBC’s Mark Lawrenson has more on the Premier league, with Manchester United’s success in the competition also set to be on the minds of City supporters.
